Inspired by the magic of moving pictures - not social media.

Glassnik takes inspiration from something cinema has understood for generations, which TV shows extended through series, and that is ‘our brains respond to continuous movement and discovery, keeping us engaged and exhilarated as our curiosity builds about what comes next.’ Filmmakers use this to draw us forward from scene to scene — turn a corner and discover what was hidden beyond it, enter another room, encounter another person, change elevation or approach something in the distance as it gradually comes into view.
Put on a pair of smart glasses, with a high-resolution camera built into the frame right beside your eyes, and many of these filmmaking techniques start to come into play naturally. Suddenly, you can take on much of the filmmaking yourself. You become the cameraman, director, dolly, Steadicam and even the dolly track all rolled into one. Roles, skills and equipment associated with Hollywood-style productions costing hundreds of millions of dollars are suddenly within reach through entry-level smart glasses starting at around $100. Your eyes decide where to look, your body provides the camera movement, and your feet determine where the scene goes next. There is no camera crew following behind you and no track being laid ahead of you. You simply move naturally through the world, and the camera, ‘crew and all the equipment’, so to speak, move with you.

And as remarkable as that already sounds, Glassnik then comes in and takes on other parts of the filmmaking process, with our platform and AI tools essentially acting as an experienced editor, producer, distributor and even the cinema itself — turning your videos into finished Experiences, published on Glassnik.com for a global audience. The Videographer still captures the world and decides where to go; Glassnik helps shape that raw Eye-POV video into something people can discover, watch and experience.
But we’re not trying to replace cinema. Instead, we’re taking all of this in an exciting new direction. And although Glassnik may look a little like social media at first, we’re not trying to recreate that either. Social media has increasingly taken video in a more unsettling direction — endless feeds, another clip, another swipe, another notification and the persistent pull of ‘just one more’ — which can leave us restless and unsatisfied, yet strangely compelled to keep going.
Glassnik deliberately moves the other way. Slow down, sit back, relax and choose a Glassnik Experience you actually want to view. Rather than treating every few seconds as another opportunity to grab your attention and send you scrolling somewhere else, the Experience has room to unfold. Walk the street, cross the bridge, enter the market, follow the path or see what is waiting around the next corner. Sometimes the simple act of continuing forward is what makes you want to keep watching.
And that idea goes a step further when you start watching a Glassnik Experience on your mobile or smart glasses: as the viewer, you get to play director too. Someone else captured the Experience, but you get to decide where you go next, what to explore next and what you discover next. Reach the end of a beach and perhaps you want to wander into the café around the corner. Maybe you want to see what lies further down the coast, explore another part of the city, or leave it all behind and suddenly find yourself on the other side of the world.
Instead of creators, algorithms and endless feeds constantly pushing ‘what’s next’ at you, you choose what’s next — your own real-world, choose-your-own-adventure Experience.
